Has anyone used this all natural organic medication and had any luck? I was going to buy the Rid Ich+ untill I found out that it's that crap that stains all your rocks, ornaments, and silcon either green or blue! Anyhow It's been such a long time since I've had ICH (or any diseases for that matter) in any of my tanks, I forgot what I used the last time.

Anyhow I just purchased 9 juvie Red Devils (all under an inch) for my 60 gallon tank and I really love these guys. 2 yelows, 4 white and yellow morph, and 3 orange babies! I really don't want to see these guys suffer.

And before anyone says anything about my stocking methods...My intention is to only let the natural pecking order take place so I can assume I have a male in the end. Also I've read the sticky information at the top of the forums and YES I've heard of the method before from numerous aquarium stores. However for my peice of mind, I just to prefer to buy the actual meds. Besides, I caught this very early...at the first visible signs.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Oh and here's what I bought: http://www.novalek.com/korgde1.htm

ive used it and it worked fine... i still go with the salt method and heat first though..y waste money?

Hey thx again for the quick response. The meds were only 5 bucks and I really should have bought double the amount. This only treats 240 gallons or just 4 doses when the package says continue for atleast a week. I'll prob end up buying another, but if it don't work, I won't be wasting any more money. I'll try the salt method.

Anyhow, the reason why I'm asking is because I'm not seeing immediate results. I remember my friend's Butticofferi had a really bad fungus problem, untill i bought some of those Maracyn tablets. Once I dropped those in his tank, the fungus was literally falling off him like dead skin. Now granted, we are talking about two totally different diseases here....Parsitic and fungal. But still, don't you see immediate results when it comes to ICH? Like I said, the last time I had ICH was soo long ago...maybe back to my goldfish days in the late 80's! LOL :grinyes:

Could adding so many fish have caused it? How long did it take for your ICH to clear up?
Thanks

Because of it's multi stage life cycle you can't guarantee that ich has cleared for at least 10 day

I heard that too. Maybe that's why the package says "Continue for a week and 3 days AFTER the last sign of cysts". Hey guppy, should I raise my temperature too? What would you suggest? Same as that salt treatment maybe?

I must admit, it's now day five and the spots are completely gone! Even at just a constant 84 degrees! I will be buying just one more bottle to finish the ENITRE 10 DAY CYCLE though....

Anyways I'm real happy with this product and I'd recommend it to anyone with an Ick outbreak in thier tank. Maybe next time (if there is one), I'll try the "old school" Salt Method instead! :grinno:

I'm really hoping I get a nice pair out of these babies!

And even though this is only the 2nd most dominant fish so far, I really hope this is a male. My white/yellow morph with red/blue eyes! I guess there is no way of guessing the sex since they are only an inch long...right?

The cooler the temp the longer you have to treat is all.

I have used that stuff and I got no response from it. I always have salt in my tank at all times. When I got ich I used Mela fix and Pima fix in the given dosage amount. I also cut my lights off a little longer than normal. The temp in my tank is always 80. Everyday after work I did a 10 percent water change and dosed Mela and Pima again. In 3 days it was totally gone. I then did a 30 percent water change to get rid of some of the meds. However the water change is not necessary with these 2 products, they are even suggested to add when adding new fish or doing a water change. The water change just seemed to help clear it up faster.

Sorry to hear that man. The stuff worked perfectly for me. After 12 days, I did a 50% water change while vacuming out the gravel and everything is perfect. I even decided to leave the temp at 82F for a few days to make sure. Plus it appears my fish are growing much faster.
