I injected PMSG (Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin) into the caudal bases of a pair of large ornate bichirs to induce them into spawning. I DON'T want to tell you what I had to go through to obtain the PMSG. This was part of a research experiment in college decades ago.

Pretty common for fish farms in Asia and Florida to feed hormone pellets to juvenile African cichlids.. It promotes adult coloration when juvenile, so be careful and don't get fooled.. Aulonocaras don't show that kind of color at 1"!!

No but I have added 3 gallons of water in which zebra danios had spawned into a 10g tank of more zebras, they started spawning the next day.
