I just wanted to know if anyone has had any problems with the algea eatins shirmp bugging the pleco in their tank ?

i was thinking about getting 2 of them for 3 bucks
they will be going in with the danio's and the swords and bala sharks

not sure what "algae eating" shrimp are, but these are mine and they do fine with plecos (smaller ones obv. not your 12" plus)

yep thats the same ones i seen int he pet store what did they call yours when you bought them ?

yea i may get 2 of them try it out if worst comes to worst i have an excuse to set up a 15 gallon tank lol

um i got them both of a friend of mine who converted to saltwater, and i said if theyre free-i'll try 'em, they've been good so far. I've seen them labelled woodbrine shrimp or something along that lines, but i believe this shrimp actually adopted a name from takashi amano (if you havent heard google his tanks-wow!) They are Caridina japonica heres a link if it helps. http://www.aquahobby.com/gallery/e_shrimp.php

I don't think a shrimp would bother a pleco.

lol, sorry, i meant the shrimp will do fine with smaller plecos, im sure some plecos would see them as a snack.

Plus make no mistake, these shrimp get nowhere near 12", 5cms max. mine are couple of years old, and about 4

well i did some talking with the guy att he store he suggested not to get them since the Pleco my size may just happen to make a snack out of them.

i was like a little kid watching them in the store such hard little workers

its just a common pleco
13 " long but he is very wide he kept getting stuck in the 5" pipe i had for his cave

so i had to go to walmart and cut a garbage can in half lol
