Has anyone here fished San Francisco Bay?

For white sturgeon? Heard at the right time of year they gets a few larger specimens swimming around (see video), thought i might take a trip and was hopeing to pick up some tips?

still a bit early for the bay, i would wait til it gets colder also. i'd say around november or december.

If you want to fish from a pier, you can try Dumbarton Bridge. Both ends of the bridge are fishable. You can make your own shrimp trap and catch all the grass shrimp you need for bait. But, it's still too early, like csaechao said.

You said it right. "A few....." Without a boat you are wasting your time. There are spots out there that always produce fish if you have a boat. It is on the boat or bust.

Also, in a few months, you can also try the Sacramento Delta. They will be swimming up and down all the different river systems.
