Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has had any success breeding these?

Male Salvini with Female Flowerhorn
Male Salvini with Female Convict
Male Nic with Female Flowerhorn
Male Nic with Female Convict
Male RD with Female Flowerhorn
Male RD with Female Convict
Male RD with Female Jaguar
Male Jaguar with Female Flowerhorn
Male Jaguar with Female Convict

If so whats the best way to get them to pair up?

Thanks Steve

We have a firemouth x convict/flowerhorn pair,a short body texas x convict/flowerhorn pair,a kkp x a bp pair.We have an over stocked tank where they seem to pair up all the time.

Sound like a great tank you have there, any problems with aggression?

Anyone else?

i've seen these crosses around. the others might be around to, i just haven't seen them. havent seen much from hybrid jags or nics. the jag hybrids didn't contain what you listed.

a divider might help on pairing them up. i've noticed with my own projects that female cons don't generally get to big, maybe 3inches. so the breeding with them would have to be a small male, and usually in my own experiences smaller males of larger growing cichlids don't mature normally wile small. hence breeding them wile small don't always work correctly. also they have a tendency to abuse their mates.

now if you wanted to use male convicts like pink ones. your chances of possible mates goes up a little bit in my opinion. considering that larger growing cichlid females seem to mature faster and be more ready to breed wile smaller as compared to males.

may i ask why you are asking about this?

The reason im asking about these hybrids is that i,ve had a fair amount of sucsess over the past few years getting natural pairs to breed but at the moment i seem to have tanks that have males of one type of cichlid or females but no male and female of the same apart from my jags. So i thought it would be interesting to have ago at producing a hybrid.
