Has anyone orderd from California blackworms before.

Like the title says. Has anyone orderd from http://aquaticfoods.com/Blackworms.html and gotten blackworms from them.

I'm curious about the quality of the worms and if they came in, in good condition or if most of them were dead when they arrived?

Thanks for any feedback about this place.
 
arent they the company that ALL blackworms come from? I heard only one company has the patent or the know how to breed the bad boys so they are the sole supplier. Im curious though as well. My LFS charges me over $3.50 for less then an ounce while I hear the rest of the world is paying about a dollar an ounce. I need a cheaper source!

No idea. My LFS use to sell them for $1 an ounce but raised it to $1.50. Still not that bad, but they sell out so fast they never have the amount I want. I need to start getting them in bulk since I am getting 3 cb retic pups this weekend and since they are only 2.5''-3'' blackworms are about the only things that will fit in there mouths.
 
I say go for it. Im pretty sure that they are the only if not one of the very few breeders of blackworms. I browsed their website last week and it seemed professional and very customer friendly with promotions and stuff. How much are you planning on getting? Once you factor in shipping would it still be cheaper? Id be thrilled to pay $1.50 an ounce!

Edit: I just went to auaticfoods.com (I think the california black worm people) and they are selling a pound for $25 shipped. That is $1 more then youd pay your LFS before taxes. If your problem is, like you said getting it in bulk it sounds like a good deal to me! I should do this but Im only feeding one fish blackworms and that .75oz cup lasts me about 10days.

I have purchased them on-line before. However, by the time you get done dealing with shipping and storing a pound of worms I don't think it is worth it.

Mark and Steve can get them to you for just slightly more.

Im thinking about ordering there 1/2lb of black worms. It averages out to a little more then $1.60/oz including shipping and thats a solid half of what I pay at my LFS.

Ive never seen half a pound of black worms. How much space will this take up in my fridge?
 
It shouldn't take up that much room.
