Has anyone run a HOB filter with a sump filter?

I meant connecting a HOB filter to the tank. I am not sure if that affect the operation of the sump in a negative way.

I don't see why it would cause any issues, I did it before for a short period of time. What were your concerns?

I am concern if it would break the drain siphon causing a flood or sump malfunction.

I take it your tank is not drilled then?

I don't see how it would effect anything. Unless you are using a hob overflow and some how the output of the filter moved or caused the u pipe to move or lose syphon.

Do you mean you want use a HOB to use as your overflow?
Or as a separate additional filter, in tandem with the sump?
