they are similar fish, why hydridize them, you would not get any definitive changes?

you hybridize to achieve a new look, not similar fish

would basically look like a barred devil... of course females would most likely have the spot on the dorsal and/or the Y near the head.

I have seen Festea x flowerhorn they look nicer than that pic but I still did not care for the mix much
