My breidohri pair have been doing great and recently had a big spawn of which I am now growing out some fry however, things took a turn with my male and out of no where my male started hiding away with his Fins clamped and seemed to be really struggling.

I moved him out of his cave tonight and to my horror he has what looks like a fungal disease above his lips and some kind of protrusion on his head.

Does any one know what this is?

The female and fry seem to be doing fine as does a bocourti I have in the same tank.

I have just ordered a test kit as mine has run out but will update with parameters once I have them.Screenshot_20210706-201004_Video Player.jpg

Looks like duck lips. Kanamycin and furan 2. Keep temps in low 70s. Keep nitrates below 20ppm.

Sparing? I ran into something similar with one of my Sev's after lip locking with another. I treated with Paraguard, iirc.

Unfortunately he died in the night. After doing some research into ducklips I would say this is definitely what he had.

My concern now is that this may have affected the rest of the tank. Would I need to treat the tank with anything?
