I have a good looking yet low grade zz red dragon female that has bred with a jack dempsey. most have a brown to tan base with vertical bars verying from light to dark. Most have flowerlines or atleast a couple flower spots. the biggest one i have now is about 2" and is showing some red against a very light brown body. Has anyone seen these fish larger than two inches? I Would like to know what they will look like full or nearly full grown. thank you.

wow that sounds really interesting, hopefully the JD can bring lots of pearling to the hybrid

I can't forsee a JD adding any traits to a FH that any decent FH wouldn't already have. It can only go downhill IMO.
I think ur right jdxfh will not produce a better fish then the fh already is. I was only hoping for a fh body with jd colors. anyways i have some picks...
in the last day or so bubbles have appeared on them and they show in som of the pics. Ive done a 50% water change Im waiting to see if that takes care of them. The pics aren't the greatest but i think you can et the idea. Thanks again for your feedback.

looks like they could be pretty cool looking when they get bigger, but is that ick on the babies? or just air bubbles.
its air bubbles. i have turned the heat up in the tank tho so i'll see what happens. they share the tank with a texas and he has no bubbles.
jory thank you for making me take a closer look. it does in fact look like ich. i treated the water earlier so hopefully i caught it in time. i will post new pics once it clears up.
