Has anyone tried this food? I am looking for a good food for my Mozambique Tilapia (Cichlids)
They can eat food anywhere, bottom, floating, sinking. I think floating will be better, so it does not end up hidden somewhere on the bottom and not get eaten.
Any who, this is the food I am considering and what does "7-10 DAY" mean?

Aquatic Foods Inc. 7-10 Day Ultra Intense Color Enhancing -
.5mm -1mm for Cichlids, Discus, All Tropical Fish Floating Pellets

I have. It taste terrible! :D

My guess is that the advertised 7-10days meant you will see better coloring results in only about 7-10days.

PS no, I've never tried this brand

I am blind, LOL. If you read it like a sentence, that makes sense. I was reading it as the name of a product.

I use aquatics foods inc. pellets as a staple in my tanks. I think they make a great product. Always seems a bit fresher than stuff you'll find at the store.

You made me think about freshness as opposed to bulk savings. I wonder If I could seal the bulk of the food in ziploc bags and keep it in the freezer until needed.
I think my fish would appreciate it. I wish I still has that old vacuum sealer we never used!

I wouldnt bother freezing just keep in an airtight container somewhere. would probably stay the same for a couple months.

The good thing about aquatic foods inc. Is you order right now on amazon it might be at your door tomorrow by lunchtime. So ive never found a need to buy tons in bulk. You can also order just enough of each item to make your own mixes.

For instance my loach mix is blackworm pellets, spirulina wafers, and shrimp pellets. I just use the gourmet 17 mix in my community tank. My midas gets a mix of their larger pellets.

I don't know enough to make my own mix yet. I will keep reading and maybe do a little experimenting. ???????????

Update: I received the food. Well, eventually it did. It said the package was delivered, but no package. I eventually found it, three days later. I guess it smelled good to a dog or something. I found the package about 150' away from my porch. The packaging was all chewed up, but the plastic food container was intact.
Well, I feed my fish and they gobbled it up. But these are floating pellets and some of the fish who are the biggest hogs

Well, I feed my fish and they gobbled it up. But these are floating pellets and some of the fish who are the biggest hogs ate so much they floated up to the top. They spit up the food and other fish ate it. Now I do not feed so much at one time. I divide feeding up over 4 feeding with my Wifi feeder.
