seems really, really stupid. but has anyone tried keeping pbass in a tank that is 7'x4'x1.5' ?? i want it to be kinda like a pond type.. shallow water with driftwood and plants with substrate....i know the likliness of the pbass jumping out but i thought it would be the best for my pbass then they mature.....any suggestions??? this is going to be a year long project if i ever do this....so any advice for my decision would be awesome. thanks guys.

to do this, start now!!!.....with the stock you have. it would work, but not for life. I like the 7'x4' but not the depth. i would go deeper. i would go 8'x4x3' pond.

depends on species

im talking about like a gang all types. but this is going to be a long project trying to get some idea of how im going to do all of this.

anybody know how big is r1_rydas tank?

4' deep is deff wide enough and if it was 8 feet long it would be better.. the only thing is that with a the height being 1.5' you have to make sure that you have some heavy glass tops fastened on the top of your tank.

I would definitely make it deeper. But I like the idea. Are you thinking of a plywood-esk tank? or just a pond? Some viewing windows in the side would be cool.

R1's tank is 8x4x2.5. Don't make the depth 1.5'. Push it up to 2' and you will probably be okay.
