Has anyone used this temp controller?

I found this on Amazon for $15. Not very many of the Amazon reviewers used it for aquarium heating, I was wondering if anyone here has used this with success.

Never used it myself, but it looks like you have to at least buy a temperature probe to go along. The relay controls look more than capable of handling an aquarium.

I use one and it comes with the probe , I opted to fit it in to a electrical component box and placed a socket on the front of the box . its a very good controller and can be set to your temp you require and then set a figure so that if the temp drops below say .3 of a degree the heater comes on and the same when up to temp

Have a search for stc1000 controllers , the reef guys use them a lot

I have one as well. It works great, but not for heavy loads. If I remember correctly you can only run 1000 watts through it. I also use a Ranco, for considerably more money, that I can run 1800 watts through.

I've used them for a couple projects and use one now to control the heat exchanger pump on my 450G. Never had any trouble with them.

Top outlet wired to the cooling relay, bottom to the heating relay.

That's very similar to mine but only one socket for heating
