Really interested in getting one.
Ive weaned many cockatiels in the past.
I tried looking on google but were no good sources :(
Questions.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-What temperature do they need to be in?
-How often do you feed them?
-How warm do their food have to be?
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Thank You! :)

um if i recall correctly we use to feed the ones in the petstore 3 times a day (morning, noon, and in the evening), bottom was hot... not scolding hot, but like baby milk/formula temps (dontknow what temps those where at)

we kept them in the low 80s

Best bet would be to find out where you are getting it from and let them wean it with your help so that the baby does get used to you and knows you but it isn't taking up your life 24/7. macaws already need constant care, when they are babies they need even more!
This is the method we used with my green wing though, he was raised in the pet shop from a bald little ugly thing and they fed him pretty much round the clock, as he got older and opened his eyes we were there very often talking to him and helping to feed him until he was ready to come with us

Hey, contact www.mybirdstore.com the people their are great. They wean birds all the time.

hope u get one!
I want one

What ever breeder you get it from I would let them do the handfeeding process and not bring it home until it is weaned. Do you have any macaw experience? They can be quite the handful.
And a great place to find out more info is www.avianavenue.com

Yea I used to have one. I also worked with them at the animal shelter when ever I volunteer there. :)
