Or are there still some species still in it?

I don't know much about Genus movements on cichlids, but I've been reading a book on cichlids from 1996 and many of the Parapetenia, like dovii, festae, manguensis, etc. have been moved to a different Genus today.

I wouldn't say that it's been dissolved but rather renamed. The majority of the species that were in Parapetenia are now the Parachromis species. Festae would be the exception as far as the ones you mentioned. Currently festae is in a temporary genus referred to as exCichlasoma. The species in this group are awaiting further study and reclassification.

It can be very difficult to keep up with the changes because there are constantly being revisions, reworkings, new genus created and old genus retired or renamed. It can definitely cause a headache so you better keep some Advil on hand. :D Lol
