So I was doing a WC on my grow out earlier, and my albino Senegal literally shot right into the gravel vac!! I have the fluval one w/ the gravel guard so he got stuck haha I just lifted up the vac so it lost suction and he fell out, he's fine but.... really haha I have always wondered if a little bichir would do that one day it was goofy

Has this ever happened to anyone else? If I didn't feel so bad for the little guy flippin out in the tube I would have taken a pic haha but I wanted to get him out asap

Never happened to me thankfully but now I need to get a new vac tube for my water change rig just in case.

this happened to me with my pictus the other day. I dont have a gravel gaurd on mine. Once he shot up I freaked out, luckily he was too big to go any further lmao

This actually just happened to me today except with a baby aba aba knife. It kept attacking the hose wherever I went and then it went at the wrong spot and its head just got sucked up and it backed out immediately. Never attacked the hose again after that. I guess I'll see if it remembers that experience on next weeks wc.

Ive had a ropefish swim into a garden hose during a water change. It went right through into the bucket. Must have been a wild ride.

I've had to pull the vaccume a few times to avoid a bichir heading that way, have had several smaller african cichlids as well as a small puffer make the trip though! Poor puffer expanded half way though, I had to blow on the other end of the pipe to pipe to shoot him back into the tank, he was fine but NEVER went near the hose again lol

Hahaha you invented a new form of hunting, using a blowpipe to shoot puffers at things
