Hatchets with rays?

Has anyone tried hatchetfish with rays at all? With them sticking so close to the surface, I'm thinking that my flowers might not ever go after them. Has anyone tried any other small fish that stick tight to the surface with rays and had any success keeping them?

I think it has a lot to do with the individual rays themselves so you just need to try it to find out as all the boys have said.
I have one ray that will kill just about anything I put in there but the other rays are fine.
