Hatching days at different temperatures...

I know that most CA Cichlids hatch at 72 hours at 80*F or somewhere around there.

My Convicts eggs are now at 72 hours as of the time of this posting. They are still translucent amber and I can see eyeballs.

My question is: Does anyone know how many hours the first fry should hatch at 76*F ?

...and does anyone know if there has ever been a chart made showing how ph and/or temperature effects hatching time with temp's and times for each degree in F.

Yes studies have been done on fish egg hatching rates at various temperatures. Too cold or too warm and the eggs don't hatch. There is a temperature range of a few degrees at which eggs hatch at optimal rate. This range varies by species. As far as pH is concerned, eggs will only develop at the proper pH per species. In some species, pH will have an effect on the sex of the fish. Either more males or more females.

Your eggs will soon hatch. As long as your eggs are developing, I wouldn't worry too much about temperature as long as it is consistent.

I have been hunting the internet for such a chart but have only found vague assertions that increasing temperature will decrease hatching time. I can not find any charts or graphs with details. Am I too impatient? YES!

It varies really. Some clutches will hatch in 72 hours some 96 hours others in between. I've read the higher temps the faster they hatch.

Mine was somewhere in between 72 and 96 hours, and my tank is at 80 degrees. I'd give it another day before I was worried at all about them not hatching on time. If anything, being a little lower at 76 might add a 1/4 day to the process if anything I'd guess.
