Yesterday, after a long spell of rains almost everyday, and bottom land flooding, (some of my favorite fishing places) I ventured down to check out the water levels in my honey holes that normally flood during this time.
I found that the water had indeed receeded somewhat, but still too high for any serious fishing yet, from the banks at least.
What really irked me was laying up high on the banks of one particular hole, were numerous good sized large mouth bass, some measuring over 24 inches long, like they had been caught and then just thrown up on the banks to die. Im sure it was that they had just gotten caught somehow and the receeding waters left them behind, but i had never seen this happen before, and i was really hating it.
