Heres some info for you. IT's are are in the perch family. They are nocturnal buy nature so they prefer to hunt at night or in dark waters. Big eyes on these guys are probably to help them gather light at night aswell. When they attack something there about to eat their back spikes extend out for protection from other prey. You can see this even when they extend their mouths out in that yawning behavior. They change the color of their bodies to blend in with there surroundings better. And when dats are fighting they are nice and stable during the fighting(dont know why) .....this is just something ive noticed when dats are sizing each other up. Good luck on your project and start doing more research.

ive herd that indos come from dark shaded environments with minimal light periceing through the water by plants and branches on the top. and the bars are sapose to help camouflage them between light and shade. if that helps
