lah lah land.
I just ordered 500 canadian nightcrawlers from bass pro. Ive never had more than 25 at one time. I usually keep them in the fridge.
Is there a better way to store em? I don't wanna kill my investment. From the pictures it looks like they'll arrive in a big styrofoam container.
Any advice will be appreciated!

Are you looking to start raising/breeding them, or just storing them until they are eaten?

If you're just storing them, the fridge should be fine for a week or two. The fridge will keep them in near hibernation. Just open the box a couple times a day to make sure they have a good supply of oxygen.

If you expect them to live longer than that you'll likely need to give them some food and probably swap out some of their bedding for fresh stuff. Biggest trick is maintaining the correct moisture level in their box. You want the bedding to clump when you squeeze a fist-full of it, but not release any more than a drop of water. If more water comes out it's too wet, and if it doesn't clump it's too dry.

Lot of sites out there about raising earthworms and nightcrawlers. Google it up. :)
