Hello I can’t seem to find the answer to this question anywhere I’m not sure why it hasn’t been asked.so my question is I have 75 gallon African Cichlid tank and I am re-doing the tank. I was thinking about getting some new fish and while I was looking for fish I started to think about adding some dwarf cichlids. I have 8 African cichlids in there now and I’m hoping that since I’m rescaping the whole thing I could add the dwarfs to it first then Add my others.i don’t think it would help ether way but one of my cichlids is pretty small about 2 inches and they don’t mess with him but the bigger ones of course nip at each other from time to time. but anyways it might be a common sense questions maybe that’s the reason why no one has asked, but I’m still fairly new to this hopefully someone can help me out and thank you PS sorry if this was the wrong thread I’ve used this website for years for questions I’ve had but never joined till now so forgive me if I messed up

Welcome aboard:)

Are the Africans Mbuna or Malawi?

I personally have 1 Male African Peacock in the same aquarium with a few Kribensis. I most definitely wouldn't recommend South American Dwarf Cichlids with African Cichlids.

Sorry they are Mbuna totally forgot to add that but yeah I know it’s prob not the best idea I always have another tank I can add them in but it was just a idea I thought about and really didn’t ever think about it so I figured I’d ask see if anyone knew
