Have ball pythons been put on the list?

A co worker that keeps snakes told me that ball pythons have been put on the list of being illegal to transport between states is this true?
I thought it was geared towards the larger snakes like the retics, anacondas and rock pythons i.e.

I think he means that they can't "stop" a trade that huge considering that a ban will not stop some people from buying & selling them.

I'm not sure what it will take for lawmakers to see our side of things but I fear that this might be a loosing battle
almost makes me want to leave the country and go international, ya know?
anyways, as far as we know for now ball pythons are safe, but considering what has happened in the past...
on another topic, how would one even be able to challenge these laws once they get passed? would it ever be possibly for the burmese python to become unregulated again? I've always wondered what would have to happen to fix this
