Hi I've recently started the aquarium hobby and found that this is the most active fish forum
LONG READ AHEAD, YE BE WARNED
So i bought a http://www.seapets.co.uk/products/a...ariums/juwel-korall-60-tropical-aquarium.html
Juwel Korall 60 tropical aquarium

I bought tank about 5weeks ago, brought it home, put the gravel in, the decorations filled it up. Turns out i forgot to wash gravel. Emptied it.
spent 2 hours washing gravel and filled it back up. everything was running smoothly.
78 degrees Fahrenheit, filter running, declorinated it using aqua safe.
I let it run for 2-3 days and then went to the LFS
i was planning on buying 4 neon tetras to cycle tank but ended up buying 3 neon tetras, 3 glow light tetras and a bronze cory that the worker insisted i buy as a janitor. Bought some mopani wood from a existing tank as well as decoration
Bought them home, let them dangle around in the bag to adjust temp and slowly added tank water to bag. Poured the whole bag in, ooops.
Then i added some Nutrafin cycle everyday for 3 days and then once a week.

The fish look healthy and ive been feeding them fish flakes every 1/2 days, about half a spoonful.
They swim around, chase each other etc.
Now in about 2 weeks i plan on returning the fish i bought to cycle the tank and buying 3 African dwarf frogs and a handful of live plants. I will replace my lighting as im not sure which kind the korall 60 comes with
So i will bring the fish back to the store and buy the live plants then go home and redecorate the tank and do a large water change. Fill it back up, dechlorinate and put the live plants in.
The next day i will bring in the 3 African dwarf frogs
Ill probably add a few fish later on.
Im worried that going from 7 to 3 living things will shock the bacteria and start the cycle again.

My question is have i done anything wrong?
also one of my parents insist i buy a nemo and a dory, but i say that my tank isn't big enough and the ADF will eventually get harassed by them because of the size difference.
Will going from 7 fish to 3 frogs shock the newly established bacteria?
Sorry for the long read but i am a bit overwhelmed with all this :newbie::feedback:

It sounds like you're watching everything you're doing carefully. But I suggest you buy a freshwater master test kit so you can regularly check ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. That kit will tell you when you're cycle is complete and you can add on from there.
As far as "nemo" and "dory"...they're saltwater so that won't work out so well. Good luck.

1 you did everything right on taking it slow. But I'm not sure if the cycledness of the tank applies to frogs. Your bacteria should be fine. Also its a big no no on clown fish (nemo) and a blue tang (dori) as they are salt water. Those fish come from the ocean salt and African frogs come from Africa fresh water lakes. Salt is very very different from freshwater. Not recommended for beginner's.

I need to spark up my fish life

Do you have a test kit? It sounds like you have a basic understanding of cycling a tank but do you know what the levels of a fully cycled tank should be? Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate? If you don't fully understand the relationship between those levels then you should do a bit more research on the nitrogen cycle. If the tank is fully cycled and all the levels are where they should be then you should be ok exchanging your original 7 fish for the three frogs, but you'll want to keep an eye on everything because the bio-load could still be increased.

As for buying a "nemo" and "dory" fish, DON'T!!! You're setting up a freshwater tank and those two species are saltwater. If you try to put them in your tank they WILL DIE. I don't want to sound harsh but many fish have been killed by people not knowing the difference.

Ill see if i can get a water testing kit from the LFS, but the LFS said bring in a bottle of your tank water when i go to buy the AFS's and that they would test it.
I wonder if they could tell me the PH.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Bacteria populations are somewhat dynamic. When you have excess food (i.e. ammonia, nitrite) for them they will grow in number, and when there is a deficiency they will slowly die off until they stabilize at a new level. If you're worried about having too much bacteria for the frogs, don't because there really is no such thing. What I wouldn't do is take the fish out and leave the tank without enough organic material to keep the culture alive. But if you're replacing the organisms on the same day that's fine. Just make sure your tank is completely cycled before you put the frogs in. I'd even give it an extra week after the chemistry looks good before adding them.
