Total impulse buy today. Not sure what came over me. Bought a pair of TexasXParrots for my 180. Anyone had any experience with this hybrid? Pics below...

Nice looking pair Ian , personally ive never owned this hybrid but my lfs had one in there 260 for a while was a stunning fish colour wise but was pretty aggressive it had one end of the tank to itself
What else is in your 180 ? (tankmates) , this was in with redblood parrots , few Oscars and a big red aro (that's a wimp its scared of itself never seen an aro as shy as him)

Thanks, I have an oscar, a convict and a couple dats that I'm not too worried about. Ornate and Delhezi poly that mind their business. 4 silver dollars. The 2 I'm potentially concerned about are a severum and gar. If problems arise I'll have to switch things up.

I would pay you to let him do that and post a video.

Severum prob will be in trouble but you never know , gar will depend on size difference if its big enough its scales will take a few knocks and nips
Good luck with them anyway they'll be stunning once grown

Push comes to shove ill move the sev. Nobody seems to bother the gar so hopefully it'll stay that way.

Texas x Parrot, this is a F1 red texas. Ive been rasing these for a while and they mostly fade or change like a srs, depending on the genes.... there is a chance youll have two red devils. That first one is pretty. Feel free to pm me if you have any specific questions about behaviour etc but you can basically treat them like a texas or a red devil. Unfortunatley, they are already past the age where pearl can come in late, so the pearl will stay as it is. But they still might turn orange or red.
