So I'm gonna chill with fishkeeping for awhile. At least for anything above a 30 or something.

Could've been a lot worse. It began with a slow leak that progressively exploded- all gone within 20 min.

So yeah. Have plenty of towels and buckets. Better yet have a hose that you can easily pump water out of the tank and straight into a drain.

This is the second time this has happened to me with a large tank. I think my next project is gonna be a tank with an emergency drain.

And yes, that was a black garbage bag background... lol, and check out that combination of hoses...

Dont knock me for the jardini in such a tiny tank. It just left another leaky 90.. I think my luck has ran out in aquaria.

thats to bad:(

i never had a tank leak, but i tend to watch tv while re filling my tank, i went to the kitchen while i was filling my 125 thinking ill go back in a couple minutes, wellllll when i got back my room had an inch of water on the floor and there was a waterfall coming down on my playstation 3!!!!!:irked:

unfortunate but it happens take the tank and stand out back and put it on the porch, pull up the carpet and dry it (helps to have a steam cleaner). once it's dry flip the carpet back. then go get some tank sealant and take apart then reseal that 90g.

once sealed fill it up on the porch and leave it for at least 72 hours.
then take a look at the stand, check for levelness front to back, end to end, and everything in between. Shim until perfect.

then take the stand inside and re level and re shim. after the 72 hours have passed drain the tank and take it inside and puti on the stand and set it up again.

sounds like a lot but it's really just 18 hours of work spread over 2-3 weekends, just did it actually. and then you have a tank that is not going to leak on you anytime soon.

btw I have a pump hooked to garden hose for emergencies.

OMG what a nightmare that would be :( sorry bro.

yeah man i almost lost my moonlight guramis becuse a tank leak but thank god it suddenly stopped....weird.... but i drained the water and resealed it
