So, I went fishing in freshwater today with my mate, we caught a few worms out of me garden for bait. We drove to our spot, I chucked me line in and got a hit, I caught what I think is a banded/ barred grunter. I decided he looks good, I might bring him home, so I get a plastic bag and half fill it with water. I unhook the fish and go to put him in the bag, but somehow I missed the bag, and he landed back into the river and swam off. I was so keen to get him again that I rushed up the bank, the bank is sort of an eroded ledge 5 metres high, you know the type. I get the whole bucket of worms 'cause I decided I might be there a while, I get halfway down the bank, lose my footing, slip, roll down the bank and land in the water throwing all my bait into the water. So that made that fishing trip rather short, lol.

Any one else got a similar yarn to tell?
 
hahaha i was catching gambusia and shrimp in a stream/river coming of a lake and my cousin fell in it was funny as lucky it was like 35 degrees
 
Haha, I was at a creek when I was ten and found a coral snake under a rock, I ran so fast cause I thought it was chasing me (it wasnt) and slipped on a rock and fell into the creek. I hit my head on another and was knocked out for 1 hour or so. My parents call the police and an old lady happens to find me LOL.
Several years ago...TRUE STORY

Shweet story, lol, did you get knocked out in shallow waters? spose you musta since you didn't drown?, lol.
 
I was trying to fish/net in a shallow stream, so I was wading out towards the center of the stream/creek trying to get close to this one trout. When I got about a foot away, I lifted the net, and lunged towards it. The fish swam away, and my lunging foot ended up 2 feet deep in mud/crap/i dont even know what it was. It felt like moss, but was dirt. IDK, I ended up searching for my lost sandal the rest of the time, no fish.
