I had a flowerhorn that I did not want due to tank space. I met a flowerhorn fanatic at the LFS and offer him my fish. I decided to let him follow me home to pick up the fish. I thought this is kind of weird. Has this happen to anyone of you? I mean I could've gave up the fish to the LFS but I didn't want him to make money off my fish.

For alot of people who give away or sell their fish, they still care about them and want to have some say on who will get the fish. If ya let the LFS have it then some spoiled brat kid could have his mommy buy it for him. Now that wonderful flowerhorn which you could no longer care for, will live the rest of it's life in a 10 gallon tank with no water changes

No, I haven't done that, I'm one of those weirdos that would follow someone home to buy their fish from them
I haven't done this, but some woman did bring a bag of reef safe saltwater fish into our LFS, she was gonna trade them in for $65. We bought the fish out from under the LFS,

I think she thought we worked there because we were taking our own fish out of the tanks and my b/f was cleaning filters (yeah, we're in there alot and he can't stand clogged filters or dirty intakes). Anyway, they were the exact type of fish we were in there looking for, and we weren't gonna wait for her to trade them into the store and then pay the markup.
