There are certain sedentary and slow moving fish species (discus among them)that probably shouldn't be kept with Plecos.
It is commonly thought that Plecos are simple algae and vegetation eaters, but this is far from the reality, Pleco's are omnivores that will not pass up an easily available high protein meal, like slime coat, or a sedentary fish they can munch on.

i think the above mentioned snails may be in the future or bare bottom tank....

In all seriousness, hopefully that can heal. It's pretty deep but fish can pull through!
