Can someone help me ID exactly what it is? I know it's a royal just not sure which type, I was thinking L027? It's not as white as in the pictures sort of a dull green and it has blood red eyes. I actually wasn't planning on buying one but I happened to stop by petland and saw him there for $20 so I figured why not lol. His belly looked a tad sunken (as all plecos at petland are) so I threw in a pile of driftwood for him to munch. Sorry the pics suck, I'm having an algae problem that maybe he can help remedy.

wow ya that looks pretty dead on thanks bro. So he won't get bigger than 13" huh? I was hoping it'd be one of the 18" species but still all good.

O ok sweet, saw today when I got home that he had some ich. Must've already had it at PL and the heat from my tank just sped up the cycle (I keep it at a toasty 82-84). Doing the salt treatment now, should be ok right?

yes, but use half the dose of salt.

Ya.. a baby royal pleco

Quick question. The tank has a lot of drift wood, a s**t load of algae on the walls, and food debris from when the aro and cichlids (shrimp, carnivore pellets, veggie pellets etc) eat. Do I still need to throw in food for the royal or should this hold him off for a while?

I would put veg in the tank. Royals shouldnt have too much meaty food in their diet so try to limit how much it gets.
