Hi All,

I'm having some trouble ID'ing my fish. I bought them as Blue Acaras, but they dont look quite the same as Blue's I've had before. One of them looks to have a lot of the same traits as a Green Terror.

Can anyone positively ID these? Maybe they are a hybrid?

10000% Pulcher not a Gold Saum. BA are easy to tell apart from GS. Notice the chubbyness on the fish and the thin orange lining on the fins. GS are more elongated and have thicker orange on the fins. Also you'll notice that the bottom of the gill plate is curved as GS have a more flat underside. The face of the two are also different. GS have more lined markings with not many specks but that is the opposite with BA. BA also show more bars than GS. There are tons of ways to tell them apart. Those are some decent markings on the fish but whats going on with their condition?

they were really battered when I got them, very unusual for my LFS. All had torn fins, and once I got them back had the worse outbreak of ich i've seen - looked like snowmen. Got rid of the ICH a few days back and they seems to be getting into health slowly. One odd thing tho is that they all have a bit missing from the dorsal in exactly the same place (about 1/4 the way up from the back). Wondered if they'd been pinched out to ID them somehow.

unfortunately that might not grow back. My GT has a small piece missing from his dorsal edge and it has never returned.

Maybe the previous owner? Dunno

Nice looking Juvies though...good save!
