a staff member at a petshop said his brother caught the 5 bar general here in hawaii and says they are pretty common. he was refraining to specify where though (for customer reasons i suspect).
funny thing this, cause that i never seen them in any stream on the east side (my primary fishing domain) yet he insists "pretty much any stream here".
i recently gained interest in them a couple weeks ago when i bought the last one in stock. they rarely come in stock and i was hoping one of you can help me out by confirming their existance on the east side?
typical answer for anything from arowana to piranha is "lake Wilson"... please don't say lake Wilson... please... lol. i never get the time to go that far.
Oh yes. and if there are any other toothy piscivore cichlids that stay under 12" loose in the wilds please let me know =)
