Hi,

I recently got a second hand tank and the top quarter of the glass all around the inside of the tank has a cloudiness to it. I am assuming it is because the original owner let the water get low without refilling it promptly.

The question is...how do I clean this off? I tried a weak bleach/water mix to no avail. Any suggestions????

Thanks.

I was thinking of trying vinegar and water. I've heard of using it for scaling in a salt water tank, but wasn't sure if it would work. I'll let you guys know.

If this doesn't work...then i'll bust out the razor blades.

Thanks guys.

I ended up using straight vinegar, which worked for most of it....but had to use a razor blade for the stubborn patches. It is now well rinsed and ready for setup.

Thanks everyone!
