Hello I just had a quick question. I'v currently got a 55 gallon corner tank with fancy gold fish and corydora catfish in it and i'v noticed for the past couple of months that every time I do a water change the water will go hazy 12hrs after being completed, with in 24hrs the water is perfectly clear again. I was just wondering if this is normal. I do 15percent water changes every sunday. My filters are a aqua clear 70 to take care of the mechanical filtration, an ehiem canasterfilter, filled with fluval bio media to do my biological filteration, and an ungravel setup aswell. My water parameters never change there always bang on, water temp 70degree. I was Just wondering if any of you have seen this and if theres something else I should be doing, or changing with the filters.

Thanks John

Definitely normal especially if you are using a gravel vac. If your pouring the new water in it usually will stir up anything that has settled on the bottom of your tank. Usually when you do a water change your stirring things up, nothing to worry about if its goes away in a few hours.

Yea I"m using a gravel vac., and will always clear up within 24hrs, usualy takes the full 24 though.

Yes its normal. The time it takes for your water to clear up depend on your filtration.
My FX5 with blue polishing pads clear the water in about 10mins after my gravel vac.
