So eventually I need to get these guys off of the tropical crisps. They love them but it gets to be a mess and they fly all over the place. So today I got some HBH African Cichlid Attack small sinking pellets, smells good btw, like seafood. Anyway I put 20-25 of them where they eat and they know its there and "try" to eat it. I dont know if they are just tasting it and leaving it there or what. Their bellies didnt grow so i dont think they are eating it. I dont know if these cats have problems with pellets or what so what would be the best idea of MAKING them eat it?

Would it be wise to do a 50/50 mix with crisps and these pellets, then eventually go smaller and smaller with the crisp dosage or not feed them for a day or 2 and give them no choice? I noticed my little common I just got from the bar doesnt even eat them, sucks them out and spits them out. And these things are supposed to eat anything, HA!

Well they never touched that stuff so I got some HBH Super Soft Krill pellets. They love them. The have some spir green pellets so I might get some of that too and hope they ween off of crisps. Then on to the regular pellets.

Either one of these strategies should work. I have all my bichers eating supersoft pellets, by way of starvation. A lot cheaper than the sinking carnivore pellets too.

Petland has the sinkin carnivore pellets, but I was afraid to get them for fear of them being to big for the cats and them not liking them. I hope there is a certain size where they eat anything they can find, because this little stuff is time consuming to feed them and keep the other fish away.

I would just go with the no choice method, I have all of my smaller cat's on the hbh african cichlid attack and they love it, again they don't have a choice, but they eat until they have big bellies.

I dont have the heart to do that to them, eat or die. They are still babies. Im starting to make there time to eat shorter before I stop chasing to other fish away so they can eat. So its eat quick or dont eat. Hopefully they learn quick, because soon I am throwing them all in a kiddie pool and its good luck.
