Spelling error! Anybody catch that?

lol crap ...

Crabs like to get out for a bit. It's cool if you have low water & something they can get up on into the air without getting out of the tank.

Here is a pic of my RCC, he often climbs up the airline into the filter & sits on top of the media. So far I haven't found any dead crab crap on the floor.

that's not the proper way ofcaring for fiddlers. he's sitting up there because he needs air! they should be in terrariums

Fiddlers spend a lot of time above the water especially at low tide. They still need their water time. A "dry" terrarium would not be sufficient without a pool of water. A tidal tank is the best home for them.

Oh yeah, several months ago I went digging for some fiddler crabs...I used my bare hands and hit a shell with a finger. It got cut pretty bad and I pulled a piece of shell out. It has healed but there is still a piece of shell in there. Moral of the story...they are cute but use a shovel.

Yeah, that crab needs air. I had eight of them in my sons tank and they all escaped because I wasn't caring for them right. I had listened to the lfs and they told me they could go in with the community fish. Wrong!!!! All of them climbed the air hose and escaped and eventually died. I found a crab shell in my sons room which is about 25 feet from where the tank is. That little guy traveled along way before he died. I am surprised my dog or cat didn't get it. They need both water and dry land to grow successfully.
