My 9" delhezi just recently started doing this alot. not really sure why but found it pretty interesting. Anybody else has a poly that does this often?

I've found given an adequate sand depth mine love to do it. I've had all different types of polys dig, one had palmas palmas, palmas Buettikoferi, senegalus, endlicheri, weeksii, ornate, delhezi, and probably some others I am forgetting. I know my first delhezi taught my first palmas palmas and my first palmas Buettikoferi how to dig and they would all 3 dig right next to each other and keep knocking each other out of the sand. Then whoever got knocked out would stroll the tank for a minute or so then go knock someone else out it was a very interesting thing to see

Yeah I would say I have pretty good depth, I had a fire eel that liked digging deep, its funny its the only poly out of 4 other ones that does it. At first I thought it was to surprise prey but threw a bunch of shrimp and he didn't move at all. I thought it was the light as well but he does this throughout the night as well. He likes it I guess, going deeper every time
