I think one of them is a male. So much difference in shape. What do you think?

Seems like you have a female in the pack as well. The one in the middle does look like a male. The hump seems to be beginning to set in.

If you want to be positive though flip them over and look at the holes the male should have a

Male = O>

while

Female = Oo

Is the flow making the bare spot in the sand? Or is that them digging?

Digging but I think from the snook. Not sure but not from the flow.
