Sorry the crappy pics. After getting my jardini for a week, i notice it developed this thing on his head. I have no idea wtf it is.

Reason why i say i think normal bc its very Symmetrical. Looks like a burn but my heater is inline. Or is it headrot? If its headrot, i took out the carbon already.

It eats normal, water is good. I cant find pics of headrot of aros online. It does hit the tank cover from time to time. Maybe it can be that. No signs of skin peeling or holes.

Yes, i added salt n raise temp. Doesnt seem to go away. Like i said, its very symmetrical

I really dont like meds as i killed my fish in the past w/ it.

Im just gonna add extra salt & keep my fingera cross. How could it be an infection ?its so symmectrical? Maybe it ia head bumping

cant say coz the blurry pics ...
if scratch from bumping its way too symetric and usually the skin were like peeled off
is it spreading wider ? if it was then it could be HITH syndrome

Its hard to get a pic. its not peeling or spreading at all.

I hope its not HITH. Would it go away eventually? It swims normal and eats well

Water parameters r good. Ammonia is zero.

Anyways, after removing carbon 2 days ago, omg, its 90% faded. I guess activated carbon does cause headrot syndrome. Im gona do a nice water change tomorrow

thats good news bro ...
the carbon itself doesnt cause the HITH but if you use it too long the carbon can back flush the substances that have absorbed, esp if you added some salt into the tank, that harmful substances could be the cause for HITH

Glad to hear it, keep the pics of his recovery coming and IMHO ditch the carbon forever
