HEAD trauma to B. juruense

My B. juruense was spooked and slammed into the glass at s high speed a few days ago. since then it has been laying on its side. you can clearly see the swelling in the fishes head. has anyone seen a fish recover from a injury like this? its been a couple days and the fish is still breathing and occassionally moves around. the rest of the fish is normal in color. is it possible the fish has a concussion, brain swelling? any info. or experience would be appreciated.

another day has gone by and the fish is still alive. not sure what the outcome is going to be. maybe the fish will make. i'm doubtful but its been almost a week. i guess we will see what happen over the next few days.

I've never seen anything like this before. My oscar has bashed into the tank wall before and was swimming a little strange for just a few minutes. But your fish seems to have some internal damage of some type. I wish you the best of luck. I hope he improves soon.
