last night at about half 11 he called me....god knows where he got my number.
all of a sudden his BP has developed a wobble.
now i know its neurological damage and doesnt really effect the snake...but does anyone know anything where it may be detrimental.
from the sudden way its come on etc...i duno, havnt seen it for myself but from what hes saying it just doesnt sound too right.
il b going to see it tonight.

I have heard of this in lizards and the causes I have heard of were trauma, a small stroke or anyerism (sp)
all of which never really affected them

bp do it all the time. its from inbreeding and keeping blood lines to close...i was told this and also read it online. for example the spider ball python morph is the most common to do it. and its do to the close blood lines or inbreeding.

If it is a Spider, or any related Spider morph its quite common........It's not from in-breeding, as they are one of the most outbred Morphs available, but it's something that hitches a ride with that specific gene and will never really go away.........Some wobble more than others, and some hardly do it at all........I've seen a few that liked to sit in weird positions, but never wobble.......

its a normal, sorry shoulda stated that.

oh and when these babies were bought in to the shop half of them died. basically the original owner found out he mites so used ardap on everything including the aspen, then put them straight back in. he did it with a load of hoggies aswell.
the ones that did survive were ok, and this is one of the babies. (i help at the shop)
im guessing it could relate to that, if so what do u think will happen?
any way to help it?
im a bit annoyed at the shop for selling it so soon tbh and especially at full price.

It is most likely a neurological issue from the mite repellent. When cages aren't aired out from treatment for about 15-20 minutes, the snake can come in direct contact with the 'poison' and 'mess them up in the head' so to speak. Hope this helps!

sounds like the chemicals caused more harm than good. don't think there's a fix for it sorry. maybe a vet but i doubt they can help.

If care is not taken when treating mites, this can easily happen.

right ok im going to have to reword it.
i know what it is and am pretty sure i know that is the cause as ardap u have to leave for like 6 hours.
but just wondered if anyone thinks this could be the onset of something bad?
i know it doesnt get better etc.

but the fact this has come on so suddenly and quite strongly is what worried me.
tbh this bloke knows nothing about snakes. i might just take it off him until its better. that way i know what im looking out for and know i can give it the proper care. not saying he doesnt look after it but he hes done no research, nothing.
thursday he helped me, sat he came home with a snake.
