I'm going to invent an arowana helmet. My aro is 10 mos., 15", spoiled, happy, healthy and a BEAST. The beast is always doted on but he's waiting for his 150 gal tank, in a 55 now. I know they jump (LOTS), his top is weighted. He actually invents reasons to spazz out and bash the head area repeatedly. Once and a while it's a true spook, but I've placed his favorite lights on each end of the tank, plants and airbubbles to let him know the tank stops here. Can he really seriously hurt himself? Maybe he had multiple fishy concussions or brain damage! No, he heals quickly with melafix, but any advice?
He's not scared like he tells people, I can work in his tank and he expects stress coated dog scratches and belly rubs. He even grabs his foam bobbers (to prevent drop eye) and swims around with this in his mouth and then spits them and pings them off of the inside top.
