Petco is selling Mopani driftwood really cheap. Mopani is great because its super hard, and really heavy. Just drop it in the tank and it sinks like a stone. I picked up a bunch of it at two different Petcos. On their website circular it's listed as being on sale.
At the first store I got a dinner plate sized piece for only $1.50. I think its usually around $12. At the second I got a large size piece for $9.99.
The guy in the store said that it was on closeout. I do know that the last time I bought some in Petsmart, I paid $30 for one piece.
Be warned that this stuff leeches tannins like nuts, but I really dont mind, I like the look.
