Not sure on these guys, but I see folks on here inquiring about them all the time - the shovelnose cats that are tiger striped, silver with black stripes and long streamers.

There's a 4-5" specimin at The Reef in Anahim for $150 I believe the price tag was...not sure if that's a deal or not...but I figured I'd make mention of it as I don't see them around too often.

Fish looks like this:

Like I said, I know jack about these fish, nor if that's a good price or not.

Like I said, catfish aren't my specialty, just listing it because I see people looking for them all the time on here - you'd have to inquire from The Reef in Anaheim about it furthere, they're off State College Blvd. and the 91 freeway.

oh i think i been their before like once when my family and i went to go to Disneyland for a week me and my uncle went to a fish store near the Blvd and freeway your talking about...anyways yea...good looking fish

Thats a tigrinus. $150 for a 4-5" specimen sounds fair to me.

u ever seen some japanese tigs with the extremely perfect almost slanted striped on a very white background, are they adiff species, or just a very nice variation, and are tigs and zebra shovelnose the same thing

If you mean lots of clear lines close together that zig zag every different way. I think you're talking about "Maze" tigrinus. I think they're just a variation and some just turn out like that..

If you mean stripes like the small one above just clearer then you mean normal adult tigrinus. The stripes will get more clearer/angled as it matures.
