I just set up a 20g tank for my pair or 3 inch cons and their babies and I ended up buying the Marineland Penguin 350 power filter. The lil filter pumps like a champ and has dual bio wheels and I only paid $14 for it from bigalsonline, they have a crazy sale going on with them. Just thought Id give anyone looking for some cheap filtration a heads up. $14 for 350gph is not too shabby in my book. Happy fishkeeping.

Yeah Bigal's is awesome. A few months ago, they were selling AquaClear 70's for just $20. I picked up 5 of them. Great online store.

They are still selling the ac70's for 20 bucks

I sure wish I would have caught that sale;), very satisfied with my lil $14 penguin though, hard to beat for the money.

Penguin 350 is almost at the same level as the AC70 IMO. I've had one for almost a year and works fine. I bought it before the AC70 and the Penguin plus some Seachem Stability cycled my tank pretty quickly.

The thing with the AC70 deals was that they didn't include any bio media, but that's ok, I just picked some up from a local MFK member for $4 per pound and no problems with my tanks.

Sorry...guess I was wrong. It was a great sale. I bought 10 of them. Great to put two on a 55. $14 for a penguin 350 is still a great deal.

Yeh to anyone looking to get a lil more filtration but dont have alot of cash to spend, hard to beat.
