I know i should have researched this product more before i used it but here is the situation. As i was putting away an extra bag of 3M Colorquartz S-grade that i didnt end up using, i just happened to read some of the labels on the bag. most of the warnings were as mechanical irritants for the skin and eyes and also for silicosis, which is understandable, but not of great concern as these would be common in almost any solid granular product. What concerens me is the warning that stated that prolonged exposured can cause cancer. Given that the product apparently contained hazmat of some sort i decided to look up the MSDS.

It states that it is insoluable in water, but can any of the ingredients listed pose a threat to fish? Can fish get cancer in the same sense that humans do? I am i being overly concerned? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

it's repeated exposure to the silicate dusts which can cause cancer. irritates the lungs.
