Hi, I was hoping some1 might know what seems to be the problem with 1 of my mudskippers. I recently moved @ the begining of November and about 2 weeks after I moved into the new place one of my little buddies is starting doing a few odd things... the only thing I can think 2 describe it is, it's like shes having seizers. Her body starts flipping uncontrollably both in and/or out of the water. It's been happening a 4-5 times a day and that's only the times I see it happen, but only lasting a few seconds each episode. That's been going on for almost a month and just this passed week she hasn't been eating and she's really pale in color. Now it's also looking like she might be having trouble breathing underwater. She seems to

Here is all my tank information. I have a 42g feeder tank that only houses 3 mudskippers that I've had for about 8months. The pH is in between 8.0-8.2, Ammonia lvl 0.0mg, Nitrite 0.0mg, Nitrate 20mg (nitrate is a lil' high, but I'm taking care of that now by doing a 10% water change), Salinity is 1.008 (which is a lil' low since it's usually more like 1.010) and the temp is 29 degrees celcius. They get fed twice a day and I feed them frozen mysis shrimp mixed with frozen bloodworms normally, but they sumtimes get small crickets or small super worms and very occasionly they might get very small feeder guppies. Not sure if ur curious about the filter, but I use a Fluval 304. The only new chemical that has been added to the tank recently is Clarity made by Seachem, but that was added after the "episodes" had already started. But u think if it was a problem with anything I just mentioned, wouldn't it b effecting all 3 of my skippers, not just the 1...?

Like I mentioned @ the start of this thread, my boyfriend & I recently moved and the only other major changes have been, the tank is now in a more open area and there might be a bit more activity going on around the tank. About 2 weeks ago, I took out the majority of gravel and replaced it with sand that was in the tank a few months back. And I recently added a new turtle bank.

I had a friend stop by in the middle of typing this thread and they think that Skip possible suffered sum trauma or stress from the move or sumthing. I just hope I wasn't the cause of whats wrong with her. But, I'm almost positive she's headed to a better "fishy place" soon, but in the mean time I'm not sure if I should put her in my 20g tank, by her self. Or if I should just leave them all 2gether in the same tank. I hope I didn't 4get anything. But anyways, I'm open to any thoughts and/or suggestions....

I've been trying to upload a few pixs but 4 sum reason it's taking a really long time. So I'll try to upload them in the next post.

Okay that's not going to work either.... Sry, can't seem to add the pixs. But if any1 has heard of mudskippers having, what look like seizers and know why.... I'm patiently waiting a response.

Thanks 4 every1's time!

You should try a different forum, as this is for saltwater fish diseases as in tangs, puffers and such. Try the reptile and amphibean section
