Hello All,
My Name is Shawn from Central California. Came Across this site looking for info on my new oscars. I have always loved fish and have not had the space for a large tank well I finally got my starter tank. Nice 56 gallon, yes the biggest I have had yet. I currently have four fish. My two oscars which I believe I lucked out and got a pair, a Green Terror and a Turquoise
Severum. Eventually I will have a second matching tank which will have the severum and the terror so the oscars can have their own space (hopefully to make more little baby oscars). But for the mean time as they grow they are happy and don't seem to be crowded. They get along pretty good. The terror runs the tank though.

Lol, hey John. It's alright, you're already better than my cousins who had a pair of 10" oscars, a 5" jag, and a 8"+ pleco in a 30 gallon long with nothing but an undergravel filter. Yes, another person who is into New World cichlids, bwahaha. What part of the Central Valley btw? I'm in Visalia right now, lol. Visit Fresno pretty regularly. Welcome to MFK, and a lot of peeps will give you a hard time about the oscars in the 56 gallon, but whatever, it's not like they are 12 inches or something. Just keep up with the water changes.

LOL Visalia as well. I plan to get another tank soon. Maybe another 56 to match the one I have or maybe I will get a 100 gallon this time. Who knows.
