Healthy food for pets....

surprised that no one has anything to say on this, and that no one has tried it...

Meh....I don't know about a raw diet, but I am all about just better kibble. (Wellness, Eve, Solid Gold, etc)

As long as it isn't by-product, or corn, or grain, or filler crap, it's fine.

I agree with rmorse above. As long as it is a quality kibble It should be fine. I have also read a lot of bad things about commercial dog foods, and some of them are horrible, but you just need to do some research on the company. Feeding raw can get expensive and some people are just grossed out by it. My wife would be one. I do give my dog raw bones when the weather is nice as a treat for him outside. He is my baby Bullmastiff!!

I agree. I feed my dog Innova.

I did feed my cats quality but somehow this all seems to make more sense to me.

Though, the initial introduction period is going not as well as hoped... got home all excited last night to share some salmon steak with them and they just looked at me baffled.

They have been on kibble all their life. Don't expect them to immediately eat a steak.

Cut it up, and mix the steak into the kibble. Just a couple pieces. Keep doing that, gradually increasing the steak and decreasing the kibble, for like 2 weeks.

Thanks for the advice... I tried chicken soaked in a bit of water, they quite happily drank the water but not the chicken. So I'll give your mixture a shot with some wet food. Hopefully it'll go down better.

Strange, when I used to actually boil chicken they'd be happy to eat it... but raw they seem a bit grossed out :)

But I did realize that quite some patience would have to come with the change.

Remember, it's still the internet. Just because they put it out there doesn't mean it is all true. Do they have scientific studies proving any of their theories or is it just someones opinion?

Not saying they are right or wrong but it's going to take a lot more to convince most people than some text on a basic looking website.
