So i get home from work let the dogs out back and wait for them to do there business. I glance at my pond and my heart dropped. it was almost empty.:eek::eek:

You see I had added some mechanical filtration to the filter last night right at the waterfall. Apparently my addition was an epic fail and the water instead of returning to the pond simply rolled off the back of the falls and down the side yard.

luckily for me my pond pump breaks suction at 3ft deep. the deepest part of the pond is 5ft deep. so my 13" and 16" common plecos were still okay when I fished them out and plopped them in my 125g.

So I guess I'm digging the pond deeper and redoing the filtration sooner than later lol
 
good thing ure plecos were fine
 
I can post up pics of the plecos but the pond is now totally dismantled for the dig out, so if you fancy pics of mud, by all means I can post them lol.

pics up both plecos were on the back side of the tank so harder to show their size but to give you an idea look at the one where the 16" is verticle, the tank is 24" tall so that should give you an idea.
